President's Message

Welcome!

Welcome to the Central Canada Division website of the International Association of Administrative Professionals! As the 2012/13 Division President, I’m excited to lead and guide our fourteen chapters and over 600 members during this “Be The One” year. Our members are dedicated to their career and committed to this association and all it represents to each of them. Browse our website, check out our chapter’s websites and then visit any one of them for their monthly meeting. Visitors and guests are always welcome – seeing is believing! Division Chapters

There are 15 chapters within the Central Canada Division.  Each chapter meets once a month, and provides professional development with ongoing educational programs, networking and roundtable discussions on business challenges.  By attending the chapter meetings, you will be amongst your peers and belong to a supportive network of colleagues.

If you wish to join, then look for a local chapter in your area.  Already a member, then check out a fellow chapter's program.

Pathways to Excellence

The IAAP Pathways to Excellence Program is designed to raise your value as a career-minded administrative professional by becoming a Member of Excellence, a Chapter of Excellence or a Division of Excellence. The program has a set of guiding principles and distinctions for each of these programs. The criteria for Member of Excellence is a terrific guide to use for personal career development and to inspire you to be the best you can be.

You can find all details, plus lists of the members, chapters and divisions that have achieved awards this year by referring to the Pathways to Excellence section of the IAAP Community website, as well as FAQ's. (You will need to be logged in to see this information, though!)  Not a member? Then join now!

The Pathways to Excellence year coincides with the IAAP fiscal year of July 1 through June 30.

Reward Yourself With Certification

Advance Your Administrative Career

For over 70 years, the International Association of Administrative Professionals has been helping office professionals reach their career goals through education, community building and leadership development. Our certification programs are recognized as the industry standard of proficiency. Our educational programs, including OPTIONS Training and various conferences throughout the year, help admins advance their careers without putting their life on hold. We produce three different publications that go out to our members, which impart cutting-edge information about today's office.  If you've been searching for a community to help you thrive in today's office culture, then you need to join today.

Certified Administrative Professional (CAP)

Take the next step to reach your own career potential by applying for certification. The CAP designation is the premier professional recognition for admins. Consider adding the Organizational Management specialty, another recognition of your top-flight office skills. Experience the confidence and pride that comes with certification. Let your colleagues and managers see just how serious you are about being the best at work. Modern business requires admins who stay ahead of the curve. Certification gives you that edge.
